Army bomb disposal experts were called in tonight after an explosive device was found in a car outside a house.
The Defence Forces said a team arrived at the site in Marigold
Court, Darndale, north Dublin shortly after 7pm, following a request from gardaí.
“The device did contain explosive content,” a spokesman said.
The bomb disposal officer gave the all clear at 8.50pm. The remains of the device were taken away for further examination.
The Defence Forces said it will be handed over to Gardaí for investigation.
