Body of man and woman found in Co Limerick

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the bodies of a man and a woman near Askeaton in Co. Limerick.

The bodies of the man, believed to be aged in his mid 50’s, and a woman in her early 60’s were found at around 3am this morning in Boolaglass.

It is not clear how they died but it is possible the bodies may have been there for some time.

The scene has been sealed off and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
