Body found in Kildare

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a body in county Kildare.

The body was found in Rahan Woods, near Carbury late last night.

It was found by people out walking.

Gardaí are treating the discovery as suspicious.

At this stage Garda authorities are not able to confirm whether the remains is that of a man or woman.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.

The State Pathologist is expected to attend the scene later today.
