Ten Irish families have been chosen to home up to 20 children from Syria who need immediate care.

The families, all approved in line with the Hague convention, are working with International Orphan Aid Ireland to provide accommodation for orphans and unaccompanied minors.

It is being provided due to an escalating number of children being seperated from their parents or guardians fleeing the violence in Syria.
