Biker airlifted from scene of Clare accident

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a road accident in west Clare this afternoon.

The accident involving a car and a motorcycle occured around midday just outside Kilkee on the N67 between Kilkee and Kilrush.

The occupants of the car are not believed to have suffered serious injuries.

The road remains closed as gardaí and emergency services remain on the scene
