Bid to save jobs at Longford cable company

A meeting will take place today in a bid to save over 100 jobs at B3 Cables in Longford.

SIPTU representatives will meet with management later to try and work out a way forward.

It comes after the company confirmed yesterday evening it had gone into receivership.

B3 Cables, formerly Wessel Cable, is one of the major employers in Longford town.
