Belfast stabbing victim named

Police tonight named a man who was stabbed to death on a West Belfast street.

Brendan McKay, 21, was attacked in the Springfield Road area on Sunday.

Mr McKay, of Downfine Gardens, West Belfast, is understood to have died from a single stab wound.

A man is still being questioned by detectives in connection with the incident.

The PSNI does not believe the attack was connected with the murder of father-of-six Gerard Devlin in Ballymurphy on Friday night.
