Barnardos to hold vital fundraiser in Dun Laoghaire

Barnardos is holding a fundraising event in Dun Laoghaire in Co. Dublin this afternoon which the organisation says is vital to helping it keep its services open next year.

The children's charity was forced to close for a week last August due to a lack of funding.

The inaugural Barnardos Santa Stroll takes place at Dun Laoghaire's East Pier at 1.30pm.

It is €10 for adults to take part, while children can come along for free.
