Efforts are underway today to make arrangements to bring home the body of a Tipperary man shot dead by police in Bolivia.
Twenty-four-year-old Michael Dwyer was killed in a shootout at a hotel in Santa Cruz on Thursday.
Police in Bolivia claim Dwyer was killed in a gun battle with them over his involvement in an alleged plot to assassinate the country's President Evo Morales.
President Morales has linked the plot to the political opposition, whom he has accused of various attempts to overthrow him.
But the opposition has dismissed the latest claims as attempts to discredit them.
Yesterday, a senior diplomat travelled from the Irish embassy in Argentina to Bolivia.
Today he is set to continue meeting with senior police chiefs and government personnel.
The Dwyer family said they are shocked and devastated by Michael's death and have appealed for privacy.
