Artist unions to protest over wages

Artist unions have said there is a major movement of talent out of the industry in Ireland because of a collapse in income.

Up to 60,000 people work in the arts and culture sector in Ireland, but unions have said they are increasingly being asked to work for lower fees or for free.

They will protest outside the Department of Arts, Tourism and Culture today calling for the right to negotiate minimum terms and conditions and social protection.
