Armed robbery of cash-in-transit van in Dublin

Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery of a cash-in-transit van in north county Dublin.

It is understood a firearm was produced during the raid, which happened at around 4pm this afternoon in Skerries.

Two masked men, one armed with a firearm, made off with a cash box.

The raiders fled the scene in a car, believed to be a mini-copper, which was later found burnt out.
