Andrews not surprised at pressure on bishop to resign

The Minister for Children Barry Andrews has said he is not surprised pressure is being placed on the Bishop of Limerick to resign.

Mr Andrews also said he is disappointed there has been no response from the Vatican on the findings of the Murphy report into clerical sex abuse.

Dr Donal Murray is in Rome - where it's expected he will tender his resignation to the Pope - amid mounting pressure on him over his handling of abuse allegations.

Mr Andrews admits it would be amazing if there were no consequences.
