Ammunition seized after car searched in Dublin

A quantity of ammunition has been seized in Dublin, according to gardaí.

Gardaí attached to the Special Detective Unit stopped and searched a car on the Finglas Road in Dublin 11, yesterday evening.

One man in his 20s was arrested and is being detained at Finglas Garda Station.

The arreast follows the seizure of several high-powered firearms in the Cabra area on Saturday - amid heightened efforts to clamp down on gangland crime.
