The Tánaiste Joan Burton will address the 'Democrats Abroad Ireland' annual gathering in Dublin's Charlemont Hilton Hotel this evening.
The group's chairman TJ Mulloy described the typical Thanksgiving meal.
"Turkey is the main staple, with stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. The pie is the designated dessert for Thanksgiving," he said.
