Seventy-five new technical and sales jobs are being created in two separate announcements.

Twenty-five high tech software positions are being created at Hire Lab in Cork to work on the Department of Social Protection's jobsireland.ie website. The department put the project out to tender.

Meanwhile, 50 new positions are being created at Data Management company Asystec in various locations around the country.

The positions are being rolled out at the company's offices in Dublin, Limerick and Belfast and at its new Cork office in Ballincollig.

Director of Asystec Brendan McPhillips said the roles were in the company's senior sales and technical teams, to support the company's areas of specialisation in data analytics and IT security and governance.
