62-year-old man arrested following death of woman in Co Derry

A 62-year-old man has been arrested following the death of a woman in County Derry.

The 36-year-old's body was found at a house on Glenshane Road in the village of Claudy in the early hours of this morning.

The PSNI has said the death is being treated as suspicious.

Detective Chief Inspector Michael Harvey said: “The death is unexplained and is being treated as suspicious at present. A post mortem examination will be required to establish the cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives by calling non-emergency number 101.
