169 new jobs on way to Dublin and Kerry

Almost 170 new jobs have been announced today in Dublin and Kerry.

Eighty of the jobs will be created at energy technology company SolarPrint in Sandyford, while Penney's new store in Killarney is creating 89 new jobs.

SolarPrint has is to open its new headquarters in Sandyford and is recruiting for the new positions, which will be based in Dublin and which will be highly-skilled roles.

The company specialises in the development of solar cell technology, which is used to convert light to energy.

The company also plans to hire staff for commercial and financial roles to support its expansion plans.

SolarPrint employs 20 staff, but this number is set to rise to 100 by the end of 2012.

Meanwhile, 89 news jobs are on the way to Killarney in Co. Kerry at a new Penneys outlet.
