Taller cab for taller maize crops wins silver medal for Krone

Krone of Germany has come to the rescue for forage harvester operators tired of driving their machines up against a wall of maize plants all day long.

With modern and high-yielding maize varieties reaching growth heights of 4m and more, forager operators will welcome the Krone LiftCab feature, which allows operators to raise the entire cab as much as 70 cm.

It has impressed the German Agricultural Society’s judges of more than 320 new products entered for the 2017 Agritechnica innovation awards.

They awarded the LiftCab feature a silver medal, saying it reduces operator strain, and provides a convenient overview of the crop, and any hazards ahead, and of the harvest fleet.
