Young Thug suggests he'll wear a dress on his wedding day

Young Thug made a name for himself through his music but he continues to separate himself from the pack by shunning socially-defined gender roles.

Thugger, also known as No, My Name Is Jeffery, indicated to Billboard he’d be choosing to wear a dress on his wedding day.

“There will be two brides,” the rapper said about his upcoming wedding to Jerrika Karlae, with Billboard’s Chris Martins taking that to mean Thug will “don another statement gown”.

The Atlanta native stole headlines after wearing a dress on the cover of his latest mixtape, Jeffery, and elaborated further on his style saying “when it comes to swag, there’s no gender involved”.

This is nothing new for Thugger, he’s been wearing whatever he wants from a young age. “When I was 12, my feet were so small I wore my sisters’ glitter shoes. My dad would whoop me: ‘You’re not going to school now, you’ll embarrass us!’ But I never gave a f*** what people think.” he said.

No doubt Thug’s unapologetically authentic image of himself will help other people feel comfortable in themselves, so more power to him.
