Yorke forms new supergroup

The Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has announced plans for two concerts with an unnamed new supergroup, which features Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, REM collaborator Joey Waronker, Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Mauro Refosco, and long-term producer Nigel Godrich next week.

The group will play Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theatre on October 4 and 5, but the singer admits he is unsure of what they will perform, apart from some tracks from his 2006 solo album ‘The Eraser’

Thom wrote on his blog: "In the past couple of weeks I’ve been getting a band together for fun to play 'The Eraser' stuff live and the new songs etc, to see if it could work.

"We don't really have a name and the set will not be very long cuz ..well ...we haven't got that much material yet. (sic)"

No further dates have been confirmed.
