Wondering what Beyonce's 'mommy voice' sounds like?

Beyonce sings to her daughter in a "mommy voice".

The 31-year-old pop superstar - who is currently on her 'Mrs. Carter Show World Tour' - doesn't use her full range of vocal talents when she sings nursery rhymes to 16-month-old Blue Ivy and save's her "Beyonce voice" for the stage.

The 'Sweet Dreams' singer's decision was inspired by Celine Dion who revealed her powerful voice made one of her sons cry.

Speaking on UK TV show 'Daybreak', Beyonce said: "I do [sing to Blue Ivy] but I have a mommy voice. I keep my Beyonce voice for the stage and I have my simple mommy voice.

"I remember hearing a story about Celine Dion and she was like, 'When I sing, I don't know if it was her son, cried.' And that's so interesting she has the most beautiful voice in the world and she's like, 'He hates it.' So I say well maybe I'll just give a little simple nursery rhyme voice to my daughter."

Beyonce - who raises Blue Ivy with her husband Jay-Z - also revealed she sometimes feels huge pressure to be a good role model to her millions of young fans but as long as she follows her heart when she makes decisions she is sure she'll be fine.

She explained: "There's a lot of people look up to me and I do respect that. Especially women I feel we need each other so much and we need to know how powerful we are."

She added: "I have a lot of people that you know I'm responsible for but at the end of the day I make my decisions based on my heart. I can handle it … at least most of the time."

Beyonce - who is rumoured to be pregnant with her second child - insists she isn't as serious as people might think and can be a real "goofball" when she's with her friends and family.

The star - who voices the character of Queen Tara in new animation movie 'Epic' - said: "People take me a lot more seriously than I do, I'm aware of that so I have to be conscious of it but I'm definitely a goofball."
