Kate Winslet has signed on to star in Roman Polanski's 'God of Carnage'.
The British star will work alongside Jodie Foster, Matt Dillon and Christoph Waltz on the project, an adaptation of Yasmina Reza's play of the same name.
Although the movie is set in New York, Polanski's legal troubles - he cannot enter the US due to allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor in 1977 - mean the shoot had to take place in Paris, according to Deadline.com.
The story tells the tale of two sets of parents who meet when their sons are involved in a fight, leading to both couples questioning their marriages.
Shooting is set to begin in February 2011.
Since her Oscar-winning role in 'The Reader', Kate's career has been relatively quiet.
She will next be seen in TV series 'Mildred Pierce' and is due to play a leading role in Steven Soderbergh's 2011 thriller 'Contagion'.
Troubled director Polanski's last project was 'The Ghost' featuring Pierce Brosnan and Kim Cattrall.
