'When You're Strange' should delight Doors fans

'When You're Strange' should delight Doors fans

Director: Tom DiCillo

Cast: Jim Morrison, Robbie Krieger, Ray Manzarek, John Densmore, Johnny Depp

A freshly original documentary on the legendary and iconic band The Doors – narrated by enthusiastic and dedicated fan Depp – DiCillo uses original footage shot by Morrison himself.

This is alongside contributions from the surviving members of the 1960s-70s sensation as well as enough archive material from concerts to keep fans happy.

It is, as always with such documentaries, aimed firmly at Doors lovers, though it will certainly be of interest to those who come fresh to what the band was all about and how great its impact has been.

Star Rating: 4/5
