Watch Rob Heffernan tells Tubs hilarious story about surviving the impoverished early days of his career

Cork Olympian Rob Heffernan had a busy week after being presented with his 2012 London Olympic medal in Cork on Thursday and then appearing on the Late Late Show on Friday night.

Rob was in flying form on the leather couch with his wife Marian, regaling Ryan with tales of his starting days, struggling to get money together to keep training and the lengths he went to to make a few bob!

Speaking to Tubs about the Cork ceremony where he was presented with his Olympic medal Rob said he couldn't thank the people involved enough and he was overwhelmed by the support and kind wishes he had received.

Awh! No better man!
