WATCH: Niall Horan shows us he hasn’t forgotten his roots

It’s no secret that Niall Horan is one of our favourite Mullingar men - behind Joe Dolan of course - but today our love for him grows a little stronger after he took to Instagram to show us he hasn’t forgotten his roots.

The hilarious video, of Niall dressed up in his finest flat cap, comes after the news that Zayn Malik has been signed off the current One Direction tour with stress.

“This should lighten the mood,” Liam Payne has captioned the post, aiming to cheer up thousands of devastated fans.

In the video Niall goes on a rant about hitting a sliothar up against a freshly-painted wall, and we have to admit we've had it on repeat all morning.

The video has since gone viral, although we are sure only a handful of fans will understand what he's saying.

Liam even had to tweet some subtitles.
