Watch Miley Cyrus' tearful video message to Donald Trump after his election win

Miley Cyrus has posted an emotional message begging Donald Trump to “treat people with love”.

The singer tweeted the video hours after Trump was announced as president-elect.

Miley, who has supported Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton during the presidential campaign said “This hurts to say, but I even accept you as the president of the United States, and that’s fine… because I think now I want to be hopeful.

She added Clinton “deserves to be the first female president” before asking Trump to treat people with respect.

“Please, please just treat people with love and treat people with compassion and treat people with respect, and I will do the same for you,” she said to Trump.
