WATCH: Mary from Crystal Swing goes solo

The woman behind the keyboard, the brainchild of one of Ireland’s most famous country band, Mary Burke from Crystal Swing has decided to go solo.

Fresh from celebrating her daughter and fellow band mate Dervla’s wedding last month, Mary has penned a little ditty about a date with a mystery man in Limerick, titled ‘Fool for Loving You’.

The song itself ticks all the appropriate Irish country boxes, and the video … well, let’s just say, it speaks for itself.

Although if anyone can get away with being filmed casually singing on the stairs of her house in Co. Cork or making a slideshow presentation of her date, it's Mary.

BEWARE: You might need to grab the nearest pillow to hide behind.

We warned you.

The song is currently charted at number 18 in the Irish charts.
