Walsh: Geri knows nothing about music business

Louis Walsh has blasted Geri Halliwell's 'X Factor' judging skills.

The boy band manager and TV star has criticised the former Spice Girls singer - who appeared on the reality show as a guest judge whilst Dannii Minogue was off on maternity leave - for knowing nothing about the music business and being received badly by the crowd when she stepped in.

He said: "As for Geri Halliwell. All I can say is, Geri who? I mean what does she know about the music business? She got the most boos from the crowd, too.

"I thought Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls was absolutely brilliant when she stood in! I liked Natalie Imbruglia, and Katy Perry was great fun."

Louis also revealed he believes his co-judge Cheryl Cole - who is currently having a break from 'The X Factor' after recovering from Malaria - will return in time for the live shows.

He explained to Star magazine: "I heard they didn't even let her Girls Aloud bandmates into the hospital, so I think I'm going to leave it and wait until she is on her feet again. I know Simon Cowell has been texting her and keeping in touch so she knows everyone on the show is really wishing her well."
