Wallace and new beau 'in love'

Jessie Wallace's new boyfriend says they are "in love".

Former drug addict Tim Arnold – who was introduced to Jessie by her 'EastEnders' co-star and his mother Polly Perkins – claims he is "very happy" with his new girlfriend, who he calls her "good lady".

He told the Daily Mirror: "We're in love, what more can I say. We met through my mother so it's all thanks to my wonderful mum.

"I'm very happy, we are both happy and I'm happy to talk to you about happiness. She is my good lady."

Polly is also delighted to have set the two up at the Soap Awards.

She said: "Love makes the world go round and I am absolutely thrilled as she's lovely and Tim is lovely too. I introduced them at the Soap Awards so I feel a bit like cupid."

Tim beat an addiction to crack cocaine in 2003 claiming it was killing his "soul".

He has also written a song about Jessie – who called off her wedding to catering boss Vincent Morse when he send racy pictures to his ex last year – but will not allow people to hear it until he has an album out.

He said: "Bet you can't wait to hear it. It's a secret – you'll have to wait and buy the album."
