TOWIE stars in car accident

Jessica Wright and Ricky Rayment were involved in a car accident last night.

'The Only Way is Essex' couple were left with bruises and some nasty cuts after a road accident while travelling in a taxi, but both stars are thought to be fine.

Ricky wrote on Twitter: "Just got home from A & E with @MissJessWright_ - our cab had a car crash but we are okay nothing major just cuts bruises & a broken finger!"

The 28-year-old 'TOWIE' babe also alluded to the accident on her own Twitter account, writing: "What a long night! Home now safe & sound)"

She later added: "ALWAYS WEAR YOUR SEATBELT"

Meanwhile, Jess' mum Carol Wright tweeted: "Everyone asking jess and Ricky are ok bruises and broken finger but they survived the crash in a cab all drive safe and seat belt up b alert"

Ricky also shared some pictures of his injuries, including a snap of his swollen "Nutty Professor lips".

The star followed up with a picture of himself being attended to in an ambulance. Ricky is seen with cuts and bruises on his face.

He captioned the picture: "#TheAmbulanceLife"
