Robbie Coltrane and Julie Walters have reunited to make a drama about a television presenter accused of rape – but all any Harry Potter fan could think of was think of was why Hagrid was married to Molly Weasley.
Yes that’s right – Julie played Ron Weasley’s formidable mum, while Robbie played loveable giant Hagrid.
It seemed bizarre to some.
Would never have put Hagrid and Molly Weasley together whilst watching Harry Potter ngl #NationalTreasure— George. (@George_Gray_) September 20, 2016
These scenes of Robbie Coltrane standing alone and muttering just make me head-narrate Hagrid: "shouldn't have said that" #NationalTreasure— Lucy Morris (@xargirl) September 20, 2016
And it was difficult to get over it…
Seeing Hagrid and Mrs Weasley sleeping together is going against everything I've ever known #NationalTreasure— Stuart (@stuartdgray) September 20, 2016
Even stranger that Hagrid is married to Mrs Weasley #NationalTreasure— Robert (@thatRobster) September 20, 2016
Though others were impressed.

Everyone is on point so far in #NationalTreasure. Also beautifully filmed, kudos to director of photography.— Ｒｏｂ Ｄｙｓｏｎ (@RobmDyson) September 20, 2016
And Hagrid and Molly – that is Julie and Robbie – were a big hit. As Robbie’s character, a beloved TV figure Paul Finchley, reacted with horror to allegations of a rape and proclaimed his innocence: “They think I’m Jimmy f***ing Savile.” His wife was shocked to see the house ransacked.
Has Julie Walters ever been anything other than brilliant in everything she does? She is the #NationalTreasure— Sean McLachlan (@Sean__McLachlan) September 20, 2016
Robbie Coltrane looks like pulling a performance equal to cracker out of the bag with #NationalTreasure— Mostly Grumpy (@mostly_grumpy) September 20, 2016
