The Dunkirk trailer has dropped and fans think Harry Styles already deserves an Oscar

It’s no real surprise that die-hard Harry Styles fans are as much a supporter of his acting as his music – but apparently it only took a sneak peek at his debut before they began clanging the Academy Award bells.

The One Direction star has chopped off his curly locks to play a soldier in Dunkirk, starring alongside film veterans Sir Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy.

We may have only seen a small shot of him in the wartime epic, but Twitter already reckons he is on his way to Hollywood…

Well, maybe not ALL of Twitter…

And least some fans admit they’re getting a tad ahead of themselves…

Looks like you’ll have to get up pretty early to queue up for a ticket for this one!

Dunkirk opens in the UK on July 21 next year.
