That moment your boss surprises you with a free trip to Edinburgh

When the crew over at Waterford’s ‘Beat Breakfast’ celebrated their 10th anniversary they knew their bosses would have something up their sleeve, but they didn't expect Jason Byrne telling them they were off to Edinburgh on an all-expenses-paid trip the next day.

That moment your boss surprises you with a free trip to Edinburgh

The hosts of the morning breakfast show threw an exclusive 10th birthday party for over 100 of their listeners and special guest Comedian Jason Byrne was the one tasked by Beat employers to reveal the big surprise to Niall, Vinny and co-presenters Trish and Emma.

“There aren’t many radio presenters in Ireland who have survived a decade of continuous service on breakfast radio,” Beat CEO Gabrielle Cummins said about the duo.

“It is such a competitive market that many burn out or simply move on elsewhere but this dynamic presenting duo has been putting smiles on listeners faces all across the region consistently so we thought it was about time it was their turn to feel the love”.

Awh, just around Valentine’s Day and all.

Here’s the moment they found out:

According to their social media accounts they all had a great time.

Beat Breakfast recently recorded record breaking JNLR figures of 47,000 listeners a week.
