Actor Josh Hutcherson will not confirm or deny he has been chosen as the next Spider-Man.
Internet sites including Twitter are buzzing with reports the 17-year-old will replace Toby Maguire.
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios said Maguire will not be back for the fourth 'Spider-Man' movie.
In a recent interview Hutcherson confirmed he auditioned but would not say anything about the reports. He said he does not “want to get in trouble with anybody”.
Hutcherson starred in films including 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' and 'Bridge to Terabithia'.
