Scorcese quits Marley movie

Martin Scorcese has been forced to step down as the director of a new Bob Marley documentary due to scheduling conflicts.

The Oscar winner, who won acclaim for his recent Rolling Stones concert film 'Shine A Light', has been replaced by Jonathan Demme, who made Talking Heads' film 'Stop Making Sense' and 'Neil Young: Heart of Gold'.

The Marley film will be released to coincide with what would have been the reggae icon's 65th birthday in February, 2010.
