Scarlett likes to play with hair colour

Scarlett Johansson, who recently ditched her blonde locks in favour of a fiery auburn hue, thinks altering the colour of her tresses is one of the easiest ways to update her look.

She said: "I go to the hairstylist every three weeks. To me, hair colour is something fun to play with. If you want a different look, it's easy enough to alternate."

Johansson has sported blonde, red and brunette tresses over the years, and has as relaxed an attitude towards make-up as she does to her hair.

The 24-year-old actress, who is the face of Dolce and Gabbana's make-up range, explained: "I think some girls are afraid of make-up because they don't know how to apply it properly, so they just don't wear it. I always tell my friends that if the make-up doesn't look good, you can always just wash it off.

"My mother always loved fixing herself up and wearing make-up and doing her hair. I wanted to be like her."
