Report: Donna Summer dies

Celebrity website TMZ is reporting that singer Donna Summer has died.

The so-called Queen of disco is reported to have died this morning after a battle with cancer.

Summer was a five-time Grammy winner who shot to superstardom in the '70s with iconic hits "She Works Hard for the Money" and "On the Radio".

A statement from Donna Summer's management on behalf of her family said: "Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith.

"While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can't express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time."
