Prince discussed a Netflix reality show before his death

Here’s something else we lost with the death of Prince: a Netflix reality series centred on his Paisley Park home in Minnesota.

Netflix had been in discussions with the Purple Rain star about a series before he died, a spokesman for the streaming service has confirmed.

However, that project did not “come to fruition” before his death in April, he added.

Photographer Maya Washington, who was a close friend of Prince, told GQ recently that he had talked about the show and how he didn’t want to be in it.

When she asked: “Why not? You’re so funny,” he replied: “Maya, I can’t be funny. I have to save the world.”
