Piers and Susanna head Stateside for breakfast show election special

Good Morning Britain presenters Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan will travel to New York for a special edition of the show covering the result of the US presidential election.

The duo will host the programme from Times Square on November 9 to inform viewers of the outcome of the contest between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton after America goes to the polls on November 8.

The show will feature guests including Trump campaign spokesperson Erin Elmore, Clinton supporter Areva Martin, former President Obama aide Reggie Love, magician Penn Jillette, of duo Penn and Teller, and the programme’s presidential election correspondent, Jerry Springer.

Reid said: “This presidential race has been more heated, fiercely fought and dramatic than anyone could have imagined.

“On Good Morning Britain we’ll bring viewers the live results of the battle between Clinton vs Trump and look at how America’s decision will shape our world.”
