Pearl Jam to headline summer festival

Rock act Pearl Jam have signed up as headliners for next summer’s Hard Rock Calling event, it was announced today.

The band follow acts such as Bruce Springsteen in topping the bill at the festival in London’s Hyde Park.

Pearl Jam, estimated to have sold around 60 million albums worldwide, will play the first night of the three-day event on Friday, June 25.

The event takes place over the same weekend as Glastonbury Festival.

Tickets for the first night of Hard Rock Calling go on sale on Friday.
