Dolores O'Riordan

Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O'Riordan is to be prosecuted in relation to an alleged air rage incident.

The 43-year-old singer was arrested at Shannon Airport shortly before 5am on November 10 last after she became disruptive in the business class area on board an Aer Lingus flight from New York to Shannon.

It is alleged she stamped on an air hostess’s foot during the incident, head-butted a garda and spat in his face as she was being arrested.

The Director of Public Prosecutions is expected to call Ms O'Riordan before Ennis District court in connection with the incident in the coming months.
