Operation Transformation's Jean Tierney give her first interview after stepping away from the show

Jean Tierney gave her first radio interview since sharing her news on Operation Transformation last night that she is seven weeks pregnant and has stepped away from the programme.

For people who haven't heard Jean's story, Jean told Ray D'Arcy this morning about her three previous pregnancies, in 2015 she had an ectopic pregnancy, in January 2018 she gave birth to a baby girl named Sloane who sadly died five days after being born. In September Jean had a miscarriage.

"You have to take these things as they come", Jean credited Operation Transformation for putting her in a much better head space and health space.

Jean spoke about how she didn't realise how far she had become removed from her old self and went on to say that the four leaders are like her brothers and sisters now.

Kathryn, Eddie, Karl, Sumi and Aoife have also been keeping in touch with her throughout.

"I can only describe it as winning the lotto.

If there's another family sitting at home and you've just found out you're pregnant, bloody well tell people, it is absolutely fantastic!

"My milestone at this stage is to get past ten weeks All that has happened to us has been bad luck, I don't know what I did in a previous life"

Jean also spoke about her relationship with Paddy and their upcoming wedding and the dress that she said she had to have. She told Ray she has lost a stone, but what has been huge to her is that she has gained in self-confidence, her health and her mind and a nation of amazing people backing her and Paddy.
