Gary Oldman is a fan of 'Downton Abbey'.
The 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' actor - who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the movie - shocked 'Downton' star Michelle Dockery when he complimented her on her work in the ITV period drama.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I'm such a fan of Gary Oldman, we were at an event in New York recently and he came over and sort of said he enjoyed the show and how much he loved it. That's amazing, that he's a fan."
Gary is not the only celebrity fan, as fashion designer-and-director Tom Ford told Dan Stevens - who plays Matthew Crawley in the show - how much he enjoyed it too.
Dan said: "I met Tom Ford at a thing and before I could even get in how much I liked 'A Single Man' he was like, 'Great work on 'Downton'. That keeps happening in a funny way, it's great that people love it so much."
He also delighted with the Emmy recognition the show has gained.
Dan added: "It's amazing to be ranked up there with 'Breaking Bad' and 'Homeland'. It's a fantastic achievement. It's slightly bizarre."
