Nine-year-old Jacob Tremblay’s Critic Choice speech will melt your heart

With awards season in full swing, stars all over the world are busy putting together that perfect red carpet look to complement their emotional acceptance speech.

We’d hate to break it to them - we're pretty sure the show has already been stolen by nine-year-old Jacob Tremblay at last night’s Critics’ Choice awards.

The Room star picked up the award for Best Young Actor and melted everyone's heart in the process.

Standing on a little black box and struggling to reach the microphone, the Canadian rising star described the moment as “super cool” and the “best day of my [his] life”.

And that wasn’t the best part, the pint-sized actor went on to adorably thank his parents and the cast and crew before adding that he know exactly where he’s going to display his award - right next to his Millennium Falcon (A legendary Star Wars spacecraft, for those not in the know).

According to his Instagram, he’s a big fan.

And not only that, what do all celebrities do when they win a major award?

Party of course.
