A bit like the Cadbury’s adverts having nothing to do with chocolate, the short for Kenzo’s new fragrance World is completely bonkers and nothing to do with perfume.
The new advert starts with Margaret Qualley listening to a speech at a dinner, then escaping to have some fun.
The video, set to Mutant Brain by Sam Spiegel & Ape Drums feat. Assassin, is strongly reminiscent of the video for Weapon Of Choice by Fatboy Slim, which features Christopher Walken mucking about in a similar setting.
As Margaret pulls some pretty spectacular faces and rampages around the gilded setting, she’s playing out something most girls do in their bedroom mirrors to entertain themselves since the invention of the Walkman.
Long live this kind of perfume advert, we’re sick of all the roses.
