Louis' football club fundraiser fails to make its target

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has failed to raise the money he said is needed to improve his beloved Doncaster Rovers Football Club.

Fewer than 800 people have pledged cash in a crowdfunding effort launched by the star.

The idea was to create a supporters' trust.

Fans were asked to contribute when Tomlinson and former club chairman John Ryan were announced as Rovers' new owners last month.
