Lil Wayne fans worry that 'legend' is quitting following cryptic tweet

Lil Wayne fans have been left heartbroken after the rapper hinted that he’s hanging up his mic.

The music star – who has had a rough year, suffering seizures and rowing with his label – tweeted that he was “defenceless and mentally defeated”, and fans have taken it to mean he is retiring.

Wayne later posted again, reassuring fans he is just fine.

But people are still worried that we’ve seen the last of him.

There has been an outpouring of grief, with fans discussing Wayne’s talent and what he meant to music.

And some fans are clearly feeling a bit miffed that the rapper is deserting them.
