'Legend of the Guardians' made with feeling

Director: Zack Snyder

Cast: (Voices) Abbie Cornish, Jim Sturgess, Emile de Ravin, Hugo

Weaving, Helen Mirren

Based on Kathryn Lasky's 15-volume series, kiddies will love this animated tale of adventure whose message concerns the oft-used theme of good against evil (though they might have to explain to their parents what the stories are all about . they're all about owls!)

Young Soren (Sturgess) is a barn owl kidnapped by the evil owl army, naturally out to dominate the owl world. He escapes with some friends and sets out to ruffle some feathers.

It's full of delicious action and characters, well made with feeling, even if you're a jaded adult you will find much here to delight you.

Star Rating: 4/5
