Is Cher Lloyd turning into Cheryl? Twitter seems to think so

Cher Lloyd has been living a low-key lifestyle in Los Angeles for the past few years, so she made quite an impact when she starred on ITV’s Loose Women.

The 23-year-old singer – who rose to fame on the 2010 series of The X Factor as a teenager – caused a stir on Twitter over her appearance, with many comparing her to her old sparring partner and former mentor Cheryl.

Having always had a slight resemblance to Cheryl, an apparent Hollywood makeover has seemingly upped her likeness to the star.

Gone is the singer/rapper’s more urban style, wild hair and outlandish make-up, in honour of a sleeker aesthetic.

Fans watching the daytime TV show at home just could not quite believe how much she looks like Cheryl, with her long, brunette locks, dimpled cheeks, pearly white teeth and immaculate make-up and outfit.

However, many, many more people just thought she looked amazing, praising her for being – well – beautiful.

During her stint on the show, Cher also spoke about her old rivalry with Cheryl, admitting that she hopes to “bump into her” soon.

The two fell out years ago, after Cher hinted that former Girls Aloud star Cheryl didn’t sing live and used auto-tune, but she told Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter that they made up “ages ago”.

“I had gotten married and she tweeted me and then when she got married I tweeted her,” she added, speaking of her 2013 wedding to Craig Monk.

“I’d hope to bump into her. Everything is fine, there was never really an issue.”

Cher added: “But it was back when I was 16, this gob just ran away with it!”

Swagger Jagger hitmaker Cher is back with new music, after taking some time out following her second studio album Sorry I’m Late was released in 2014.

She released her new track Activated back in July ahead of her next record.
