Imelda May to headline Dublin's New Year's Eve concert

Imelda May has been announced as the headline act for the New Year's Eve Dublin Countdown Concert.

Bell X1 will also perform at the gig on December 31.

As well as ringing in 2013, the event marks the start of The Gathering, a year-long tourism initiative aimed at attracting more visitors to Ireland.

As part of the outdoor event at College Green, there will also be a 'People's Procession of Light' and a firework display.
